Account Deletion &
Privacy Request

Stay Legacy Minded ("SLM") gives users a way to request deletion of their SLM account and associated personal data, subject to limited retention that may be required or permitted by law, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, payment, safety, or other legitimate obligations.

1. How to Delete Your SLM Account

You may request account deletion using either of the following methods:

In the SLM app: use the account deletion option available in your account or settings
On the web or by email: send an account deletion request to support@staylegacyminded.comwith the subject line "Account Deletion Request."

If you no longer have access to the app, you do not need to reinstall it in order to request deletion. You may use the website/email method above.

To submit an account deletion request, email support@staylegacyminded.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."

To submit a privacy request, email support@staylegacyminded.com with the subject line "Privacy Request."

2. Information to Include in an Email Request

To help us locate the correct account, include:

The email address or phone number associated with the SLM
Your profile name or username, if
A statement that you are requesting deletion of your SLM account and associated personal

SLM may take reasonable steps to verify that the request comes from the account owner. Do not email sensitive identity documents unless SLM specifically instructs you to use a secure method.

3. What Happens After a Deletion Request

SLM will begin the account deletion process after receiving and, when necessary, verifying the

Personal data associated with the account will be deleted or de-identified except for information that SLM is required or permitted to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, safety, payment, dispute, enforcement, or recordkeeping purposes.
Some information may remain in backups for a limited period until those backups are overwritten or securely retired in the ordinary course of business.
Where user-generated content, reports, or communications must be preserved for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or the rights of other users, SLM may retain the minimum information reasonably necessary and may de-identify it where appropriate.

4. Identity Verification Information

SLM may use third-party identity verification services, including Veriff. Data held directly by a verification provider may also be subject to that provider's retention practices, legal obligations, and privacy terms. SLM will handle deletion requests for data under SLM's control and will address third-party data as required by applicable law and contractual obligations.

5. Deleting the App Is Not the Same as Deleting
Your Account

Removing the SLM app from your device does not automatically delete your SLM account or the personal data associated with it. Use the account deletion process described on this page.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Deleting your SLM account does not necessarily cancel an active subscription billed through Apple App Store or Google Play. If you have an active subscription, manage or cancel it through the applicable app-store subscription settings. SLM does not control Apple or Google billing systems.

7. Other Privacy Requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding access, correction, deletion, or other handling of your personal information. To submit a privacy request, email support@staylegacyminded.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and describe the request you are making.

8. Processing Time

SLM will respond to and process verified account deletion and privacy requests within the time required by applicable law. If additional information is reasonably necessary to verify or complete your request, SLM may contact you using the information associated with your account.
